PADI Open Water Diver Course

The most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense diving adventure.
Throughout the 5-chapter course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving in 3 days.

Each day is comfortably balanced with class sessions for knowledge development and exams, as well as 5 sessions of confined water  for skills practices.

The Open Water Rating is completed with 4 open water certifying reef dives to colorful and breathtaking dive sites along the Belize Barrier Reef, maximizing your experience and enjoyment with Ambergris Caye’s marine life.

Complete dives 1 & 2 in shallower dive sites along the reef, easier for mastering the set of skills required while enjoying full color and marine life interaction.

Dives 3 & 4 are completed during dive trip type settings, at dive sites on the fore-reef. This option is perfect if you are vacationing with already certified divers, as they will want to join you on at least these last two dives.

This course earns you a Full Lifetime Dive Certification.

For those ages 10 to 14, Ambergris Divers offers the PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course, and for those ages 10 & 11, we also offer the PADI Junior Open Water Certification Course, allowing you to only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent, or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 40 feet.  If you become inactive for a period of 2+ years, you need only to take the Refresher Course to keep within the PADI Safety Standards.

You may now continue your diver education with the Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, or selective Specialties.
